Post cute or funny photos of your cats and win me around! Smile

Just 'cos I'm not a cat person doesn't mean I don't like some cats- I'm just very picky! Wink

This little beauty is a cat that used to live near my parents' house; he used to follow me for about half a mile when I was walking home from school!

And this is Snowy, the cat that lived in the same village as my parents. He used to sit outside the Co-Op looking for affection, and quite a few times could be found strolling down the aisles tongue

As soon as we get any guests on here, it would be helpful if you could let me know if you can see the above photos, as when I'm not logged in they show as 'admin only allowed to see them', so I'm a little worried they're invisible to everyone else! confused

I have had cats since being a small child. Lots and lots of kittens. Lot of which ended up in a bucket, I'm sad to say but Dad always left one so that it's mum wasn't too frustrated and it helped her get over the milk engorgement of having no kitten.

Many years later I bred Burmese cats for a while. The Mum does everything. She trains them to use the litter tray and when to take to meat.

I don't have a cat just now but had an encounter last night..
I leave snacks out for a visiting fox. Last night I saw what I thought was another fox going down the path but it was a bright ginger and not quite as big as the usual fox.
Then it came back and I could see the head and realised it was just a very large cat. A very large cat! Will keep an eye out for that one.

I love huge cats! Big tom cats are my favourite, especially when ginger Smile

Goliath at cat rescue was the size of a dog, and would put his paws either side of your head and nuzzle you - very sweet Razz He once sat on Lyle's (Edge's) shoulder and licked his head until all his hair was wet Laughing I think I would definitely like a cat one day, it just depends on us either adopting a dog that's good with cats, or adopting a puppy and socialising it with cats!

Big cats are my faves too. The lazier the better! I've had two cats previously, both midgets and both black and white, when I lived back with my parents. My mum is a bit of a cat lover, in fact they got a new cat last week!

I too have a cat although I'm sure I couldn't work out how to post a photograph but pperhaps my son will be ale to. Vera is lovely though old now we appreciate all the time we have left with her. I have no idea what breed she is. She has slightly long thick grey fur that needs brushing often and she sleeps by us in bed at night.

Right goodnight everybody hope to talk to you all soon Smile

I was a little late in getting Janet's PM (sorry Janet!!) but she asked me to upload a pic of Vera that her son had taken

I'm not a cat person, so... Vera

Apparently Vera has been for a grooming session at her vets yesterday, "to help relax her with her condition." I can see why you got your son to take a pic of her now Vera, she looks stunning Wink

And she does look very relaxed Janet! She's not what I expected, I thought her fur was going to be really long...you know one of those cats with the scrunched up faces a bit like pugs? My Aunt and Uncle had a cat like that which I guess is why Smile

Ah, I have discovered the cat they had was a Persian. It was medium grey coloured, long furred and had a face like it had run into a wall - it just made it all the cuter though!!! Smile

Red no worrys at all I am just grateful that you were able to put the photograph up for me as I didn't have a clue what I was doing!!! My son took that photo of Vera last time he aws here and as Red says she had just been groomed at the vets we have a wonderful vet and he booked Vera in for grooming and a massge class can you believe that! Her hair is newly brushed, washed and trimmed there so it is a little shorter than normal. It's usually meduim length and very thick dense hair she is beautiful.

Vera fell in my husbands fish pond today it was lucky I don't let her out on her on her own anymore because she wouldn't have been able toget out at her age. I don't know how or why she went in but I had to fish her out I thought she was going to drown after all I'm not as nimble as I used to be!! She is finer though I brought her inside and wrapped her in atowel which she was very indignant about!!! She doesnt look as well groomed now and smells of pond but ar least she is safe!

I'm glad Vera is safe Janet! She looks really cute. I'm much more of a cat person than Red so hopefully one day I'll convince her to let us get a feline friend! Not while we have Kasp though, he loves cats for too much! In fact we saw him chasing what we think was a feral/stray cat in the forest today, it was really strange as we've never seen a cat on our walks before (just loads of rabbits and squirrels!)

Oh shoot! Only just noticed a new reply in this thread, haha poor Vera I can't believe she fell in the pond!! Its lucky you were there, and I'm glad she is okay Smile

I've had a few incidents with pets and ponds! Two chickens have ended up in the pond...the worse was when Eva, our rescued ex-battery hen, fell in. She didn't have any life experience, she didn't know how to walk never mjnd swim!! I fished her out no problem, but her poor bare bottom was covered in chickweed Laughing she soon pecked it all off and didn't go in again Smile
