What do you see on cam?!

A thread to post whatever the budgies are up to when you see them on cam. Funny, interesting and potentially useful if somebody spots a problem and we're not at home.

At the moment Kanji is drinking and playing with the hammer toy at the same time, and Ramba is off-cam preening

I think they've both chosen the wicker heart, they usually do...I'll try adjust the cam so people can see until it gets dark! Oh no he's back again, I'll leave the cam until after the dog walk then, and it'll probably be dark by then

The cam is pretty dark now. I guess it's night night until about 6am when the budgies wake up!

Earlier they were both perched on the top of the wicker heart and Ramba was feeding Kanji, it was too cute! I got some photos of them both us there that I'll post later, but I didn't manage to get any of the communal feeding.

Phooey, when we were shifting furniture we had to disconnect the internet and the cam's counter reset...we've gone from 150-something to 17...ah well

Kanji and Ramba were very interested in their abacus toy today! They've had it about 3 days and never bothered with it but today it got moved so that means it's suddenly special!



And bottom right in this screenshot, Kanji being fed by Ramba again! You can just make out Kanji's face with beak open!



And now the cam is pitch black until the 'morrow! Goodnight everyone!

Hehe both budgies can be seen playing with toys on cam

Ramba is playing with the spinning double mirror toy and Kanji is nibbling at the mineral block and playing with the sunflower mirror

Cam reset the numbers twice today I think we might try and put a visit counter on the site...

Cam is dark already despite it only being 7.30pm...having said that the budgies are roosting already so I guess it must be quite dark in here! We really are going to have to get a night vision camera at some point.

Oooh I can see Kanji on cam because he is mainly white!

Both budgies are very playful today, bobbing around the cage nibbling and fiddling with everyone! Ramba's favourite 'toy' is the clip we use to hold their veggies; she loves flapping it about and moving it along the bars. Kanji is enjoying chewing the wicker heart today.

Both budgies are sat on the lower branch perch dozing, and Ramba looks literally twice the size of Kanji! She has her feathers fluffed up so she looks obese

I switched all the budgies toys around when we cleaned them out today, very few are in the same place. Hopefully you can still see quite a few of the perches and toys on cam, three perches are off-cam but two small ones and two big ones are on so I don't think it really matters

I have just spent a good while today watching the 'cam'. The white one I am unsure on names was right by the 'cam' and all I could see was his litltle head! He looked to be having fun!

The green one is up there now but hiding I have onlly seen him once or twice.

Kanji is the white one and Ramba is the green & yellow Yes, Kanji loves to play with toys! Ramba seems to become fixated one one toy for a few days, whereas Kanji is more willing to explore and play with all the toys!

The cam is *really* dark today, in fact our whole house is, as the weather has turned really grim and gloomy. We had our millionth thunderstorm of the summer, I think we've had about 10 since we moved here, which was less than three months ago!

Ah it's really annoying, the budgies prefer the half of the cage that you can't see on cam! I think it's because it's near the window. It's annoying though because currently we can't extend the cam wire so it can point in the opposite direction to where they usually sit, so mostly they aren't on cam. You will get to see them occasionally, but I think at least half the time they are sat on one of the perches out of view!!

Having said that Kanji is on cam now preening himself

The camera position has moved slightly and lots of the toys and perches in the cage have moved and appeared. I wonder if it was clean out day! I watched both budgies bobbiing about on two things attached to the side of the cage, Ramba was on the yellow one and Kanji the other I don't know what they are.

The camera is dark today I expect its the glloomy weather I think our summer is over!

You are correct Janet it was clean out day! I like the perch layout a lot more now and the budgies seem to too. The big long branch one going across the width of the cage is really useful as they can choose which toys to play with.

Oh, the two things you saw are like...they have a little perch, a tray where you can put food, and a mirror too. The yellow one has a large food tray and a mirror, and the blue one has a tiny food tray but a bigger mirror with beads that Kanji really enjoys playing with

The budgies are very lively today flying everywhere chasing each other, having a whale of time! I'm sat by them on the laptop getting covered in Kanji's moulting feathers and empty seed husks

Anyone watching this afternoon may be surprised to see a very soggy dog on cam, looking something like this

He looks so content I hope to see Kasper on cam one day!

We need to get the cam fixed so it can point at Keshi, as he is often up and about in the day!

Kanji is playing with the new-ish parrot toy, it hangs in the far corner of the cam, near the lemon feeder. You can just see the bottom of it, it dangles over the spinning mirror toy, I've never seen either of them play with it before so that is nice

Swapped the cam view and toys around today. Added a new one that I think the budgies will love, it's a rainbow coloured ribbony / thread toy, and they love twiddling threads in their beaks so I think they're really gonna like it, Ramba especially. You can see a lot more perches on cam now too, although it's getting dark already so I chose a bad time to do it

Both budgies are eating from their seed truck currently, can see them scoffing on cam

Ah I did see Kanji playing with that earlier today and I wondered what it was Ramba was playing with something slightly off view of the cam but you could see Kanji clearly.

Red I do think that Kanji has grown the budgies are flying about madly at the moment and frequently standing next to eahch other on the cam and Kanji does look the same height as Ramba whereas I had always seen him to be quite a bit smaller. I don't know what has gotten into the budgies but they are flying all over the place!

Ha, yes they're going crazy although they've calmned now...I was getting covered in feathers and seed husks!! Sometimes they do just go crazy and they will chase each other all around the cage and dive bomb each other. Then they'll stop and groom one another and be all loving before starting again! They were drinking just now too and splashing water all over me
