I caught Kanji playing with one of his toys today!!



Kanji's way more playful than Ramba, he loves chewing on string too. He always hogs the toys though, and when Ramba wants to come see what's going on Kani pushes him to the end of the perch...and of course Ramba always wants the toy that Kanji has, and not any of the others!!



He is such a cutie!

The budgies were on the wicker heart today



and I FINALLY got a photo of Ramba feeding Kanji!!

Possibly the cutest photo ever (I only wish I had more time to focus but the camera is dying so I had to be very quick ). This was Kanji grooming Ramba yesterday, for about 15 minutes she was bent over whilst he lovingly preened the feathers on her head, it was so sweet

I got some photos of the budgies enjoying their veggies today!



They enjoyed drinking the water too (which you never know might have nutrients in from the soaking spinach!) and then sharing it between them which was very cute



Ramba enjoyed grabbing the spinach and chucking it about everywhere and nibbling at the stalk



I think it being soggy makes it easier for them to pick up and peck at too

The budgies have been very sweet today, grooming each other, feeding each other, squabbling over toys...I mean, everyone knows that the best toy is the one that the other budgie is playing with

Ramba is sulking here because the wicker heart spun around and Kanji can't groom her anymore



Kanji risking his life to groom Ramba She is very much in charge now which is funny when I think back to how scared and shy she was at the pet shop and when she just got back home...she was the budgie all the others picked on, and now she's totally in charge and forever bossing Kanji around

You can't see it in the photo but Ramba was stood with her head tipped forwards and Kanji was preening the feathers above her cere



And Kanji must have done good at grooming her because Ramba shared some millet with him!

Okay so there were two pet shops today selling really cheap budgie toys and I couldn't resist...no more toys now otherwise they won't be able to move in there!!

I got a lot of funny / cute / pretty pics of Ramba today who was more than happy to pose!

And the little so-so's have finally started to pull the wicker heart apart, which they love, so I'll have to get looking for another perch to replace it when the time comes!

They are beautiful,
I used to have a real tame green budgie many many years ago. It used to sit in my blouse pocket and go for a walk just peeping over the top it made no effort to get out just sat in there happy as a sand boy. I called him Cassie. We really missed him when he finally went over the rainbow bridge.

Oh that reminds me Sootz my big mainecoon cat caught a sparrow a couple of days ago and brought in. Poor little thing was dead and Aurelia was very upset. So we buried it and I told her it would go over the rainbow bridge to join Noogie her dog and Harley one of my old cats. She was quite pleased about that. About an hour and a half later she went out in the garden and started to dig it up. I shot out there and said, oh no you mustnt do that and she replied, well Nanny I am just checking to see if it has gone yet !!!!

We do have very beautiful boys (still not sure what gender Ramba is!!) and are very lucky to have them, they bring us much joy I think I've turned Lyle into a bit of a budgie fiend; he'd never had one before but now whenever we are in a pet shop goes straight to the birds!!

Oh bless her that is so sweet! I remember when I was about 10 my nana's old house had a pond with a lot of frogs and newts in, and whenever they died in the winter I would fish them out and insist on burying them with my nana - she put up with me even when it was snowy and the ground was frozen!!

Okay, this was the photo that was supposed to be the budgies each playing with a string toy, but they stopped when I got the camera out

He's actually fully disturbed Kanji now, they're both just up, and the lights are going out soon so they won't be happy!

Well Kanji is just a baby and so has to go to bed ealier than Ramba for extra sleep I suppose! Red their cage looks so colourful and packed with toys it is so exciting to look at. They must really enjoy living there and you must have lots of fun setting it all up. Ramba on the rope perch is just darling too.

Thanks Janet We always try to keep our pets' cages very stimulating, but the budgie's cage is a very easy and fun one to design because of all the perches and toys...I usually swap everything about every few days just because I enjoy it

I got some awesome photos of the budgies - Ramba especially was keen to pose for the photo shoot!



I really enjoyed taking the pics



They're so colourful and full of character that taking pics is so fun



And they got a few pages in their cage because they enjoyed it so much last time

Those are beautiful pictures red they really show hwo beautiful they are that you don't quite see on the cam. The close up of Ramba is lovely really shows his colours.

Both budgies were sleeping on the hanging swing perches tonight



Until we turned the lamp on of course, and now Ramba is singing away and playing merrily (and noisily!) with his toys

Ramba was really making me laugh the other night, he was clinging to the corner of the cage, quite happily, and just chirping there for about half an hour! The thing I love about budgies, they are always busy and always doing things that make you laugh



PS ~ I think Kanji has his back to the camera as he is "ugly" and moulting!

how bizarre red funny how they both have there own little personalities. I can't believe poor Kanji is molting again bless him!
